Doncaster and District Cross Country Event
Registration is now open for Doncaster and District Cross Country 2026, which takes place on Saturday 18 April.
Hill House School has been the proud host of the Doncaster and District Cross Country event for nearly 20 years.
Over this time, thousands of pupils from across Doncaster and the wider region have competed in this wonderful event, focused on providing a competitive and supportive environment for children with a passion for cross-country.
Event Format
The Doncaster and District Cross Country event will feature four races:
- U9 Girls
- U9 Boys
- U11 Girls
- U11 Boys
Children may compete either as part of a team of four runners or as individual entrants.
Race Distances
- U9 races: 1km
- U11 races: 1.2km
Prizes
Awards will be presented in each age group for:
- 1st Place
- 2nd Place
- 3rd Place
- Winning Team
Prize categories:
- U9 Girls
- U9 Boys
- U11 Girls
- U11 Boys
The Chris Keyworth Shield will also be awarded to the best Overall Team.
Event Details
- Families are welcome to come and support this event.
- Free parking is available on-site on Sixth Avenue.
- Gates open at 9.00am.
- First race is at 10.00am and the event will finish at around 11.30am, after a short prize-giving ceremony.
- Refreshments will be available to purchase on-site – card payments preferred.
