Robin Hood Music Festival Set for Triumphant Return

After a brief hiatus in 2025, one of Yorkshire’s most cherished music events, the Robin Hood Music Festival, is set to make a spirited return next year, promising to be better than ever.

Founded in 2011 as a community initiative to provide inclusive opportunities for young people across Doncaster to sing, play, act and perform, the festival has grown into the region’s largest celebration of youth music. Traditionally hosted by Hill House School, the festival evolved from a small weekend gathering into a six-day festival, attracting over 750 performers, 2,500 supporters, and participants from more than 40 schools, orchestras and choirs.

With classes ranging from Under 9s to Under 19s, beginners to experts, and soloists to large ensembles, the festival has long prided itself on welcoming performers of all abilities.

Although 2025 marked a pause in the festival’s annual celebration, Hill House School have confirmed its eagerly awaited return in 2026 - much to the delight of schools, performers and supporters across the region. As anticipation builds, families, performers and supporters are encouraged to mark their calendars and get ready to join in celebrating the comeback of this much-loved event. The Robin Hood Festival’s return in 2026 promises not only a revival of tradition but a renewed celebration of talent, passion and the performing arts across Yorkshire.
