Hill House Trips

Hill House School saw a great end to a very unusual year with pupils enjoying lots of exciting trips over the last few weeks of term, including the Tropical Butterfly House, Alton Towers, Bawtry Paintball Fields and a day at the seaside.

Nursery visited the Tropical Butterfly House in Leeds as part of their topic about minibeasts. During their visit, they came face to face with lots of exciting creatures, deepening their understanding of other living things. Mrs Sutton, Deputy Head of Nursery said, “It was lovely for the children to see so many species of butterfly and other beings you would see in a tropical environment.” They also enjoyed exploring the playground areas including riding on the tractors and trailers and finished the day comparing the bug hotel and pond areas to ours within our own Forest School.

After such a uniquely challenging year, Key Stage 2 were excited for their end of year treat to Bawtry Paintball Fields. This included lots of age-appropriate activities such as archery, laser combat and low impact paintballing. The children enjoyed the experience and had lots of well-deserved fun with their friends. Hill House Seniors also took their annual trip to Alton Towers as a reward for all their hard work and dedication. This trip was thoroughly enjoyed by both staff and pupils!

Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 needed their sun hats and a bucket and spade as they headed off for a fun day in the sun at Cleethorpes. Their day included lots of sandcastle building, ice cream and a ride on the lollipop train.

A very big well done to all. We look forward to even more exciting trips in the Michaelmas Term!
