The U13 and U14 boys' rugby squads embarked on a tour of Portugal during the half-term break with 47 boys taking part. The tour mirrored the highly successful 2022 trip to the Lisbon area which now forms an important part of the rugby calendar for our teams. 

The Hill House tour party were based at the MyCamp Activity Park in Quinta La Broeira, a brilliant location for many of the adventurous activities that were enjoyed.

The boys took part in high ropes, rock climbing, paintball, zip-lining and traditional Portuguese games, in addition to enjoying the on-site water park that proved a real favourite amongst the boys. 

Fixtures took place against Santarem RFC and Agronomia Rugby with Hill House winning all four of the games. The beautiful setting of the Lisbon seafront provided the perfect setting for the latter with two truly outstanding displays from our sides. 

Excursions included a sightseeing tour of Lisbon as well as a visit to the Stadio De Luz, home of the renowned, Benfica FC.

The memories and friendships forged on the tour are sure to last a lifetime, and we look forward to returning with our current Y6 and 7 boys in 2026. A special thank you to everyone involved in making the tour such a great success.
