Hill House Pupils Shine at British Horse Society National Riding School Championships
Hill House pupils showcased their equestrian talents at the prestigious British Horse Society's (BHS) National Riding School Championships held at Pickering Grange, Leicestershire on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Representing Grove House Stables, Scarlett Ross (Year 7), Luca Markham (Year 9), Pei Pei Wang (Year 11), and Lulu Goulden (Year 7) demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
This unique competition provides riders without their own horses the opportunity to compete at a national level. These talented Hill House pupils earned their place in the competition after achieving commendable results during the qualifying rounds held at Grove House earlier in the year.
Showcasing various disciplines, including dressage, showjumping, and horse knowledge tests, the Hill House riders displayed remarkable dedication and versatility.
The riders achieved fantastic results, with Pei Pei securing a brilliant 3rd place and Luca following closely with a notable 4th place in their respective classes. Scarlett also earned a well-deserved 4th place in her category, showcasing the exceptional talent nurtured at Hill House.
Their success is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the invaluable guidance received during their extracurricular activities at Grove House Stables, an integral part of their journey at Hill House.
Andrew Stennett, the owner of Grove House, commended the Hill House riders for their outstanding performances, emphasising the significance of this experience in their development as equestrians. He said, "The Hill House riders had a fantastic day at the Championships. For some of the pupils, this was their first competition, and we are pleased that we can offer them this wonderful experience. They should all be very proud of their performances in the competition."
