Hill House Hockey Experience with Women's Premier League

Over the weekend, the Hill House Hockey U12, U13, and U14 teams had the unique opportunity to witness Hill House Hockey Teacher, Mrs Jane Donnelly, in action as she played for her team, Bowdon Hockey Club, against East Grinstead in the Women's Premier League.

Adding an extra layer of excitement to the experience, the U12 girls from Hill House School assumed the prestigious role of Ball Girls, contributing to the smooth flow of the game, showcasing their enthusiasm for the sport.

Post-match, the young athletes were granted a fantastic opportunity to meet the players and a particularly special highlight of the day was the chance to hold an Olympic Gold Medal belonging to Sam Quek, MBE, a former England Hockey player and star of BBC One's sports panel show, "A Question of Sport."

Director of Sport at Hill House School, Mrs Katie Vickers, expressed the significance of the experience for the pupils, saying, "Watching Mrs Donnelly play at such a high level and having the chance to be directly involved in the match as Ball Girls was a rare and enriching experience. The opportunity to meet elite athletes like Sam Quek and hold an Olympic Gold Medal adds a layer of inspiration that will undoubtedly fuel their passion for hockey."
