Speech Day 2023

The end of term last week saw the annual celebrations of Speech Day, with Junior and Senior Prizegivings.

Parents enjoyed lunch in Dining Hall, a stunning Art Exhibition in the Library and Theatre, and showcases by the cast of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and the Senior Ensemble.

Parents and pupils heard from Chair of Governors, Joan Fearns, who celebrated the many successes of the pupils and the school over the past year, including the recent excellent school inspection and the opening of the Blaxton Pavilion.

Headmaster David Holland talked about the importance of building on strong foundations, followed by a vote of thanks by Heads of School Rebecca Leggott and Kian Tamjidi, who reflected with warmth and passion on their journeys through Hill House.

Highlights of the ceremonies included music from pupil-led ‘Six’, singing ‘For Good’, and a rousing finale with a massed choir, closing proceedings with ‘One Day More.’
