Hill House was delighted to welcome Leicester Tigers back this week (commencing 27 July) as the renowned Premiership Rugby club once again hosted its popular regional Rugby Camps at the school.
Now in its second year at Hill House, the partnership reflects the school's growing reputation as one of the leading schools for rugby in the North of England. Over the course of the week, around 60 young players from across the region took part in a range of camps designed to develop skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.
Throughout the week, the programme offered something for players of all ages and abilities, including a five-day Core Camp for Under 9 to Under 13 players, a three-day Tag Rugby Camp for Under 7 and Under 8 children, a three-day Development Camp for Under 14 to Under 16 players, and a dedicated one-day Girls' Rugby Camp. Led by Leicester Tigers' experienced coaching team, each session combined expert technical coaching with fun, engaging activities, providing young players with the opportunity to learn, improve and enjoy the game in a professional and supportive environment.
Hill House is proud to have once again been chosen as the regional venue for the camps. The selection reflects the school's outstanding rugby provision, excellent sporting facilities and long-standing commitment to developing young talent. Rugby continues to thrive at Hill House, with pupils enjoying success at county and national level, supported by an ambitious coaching programme and a culture that encourages participation, performance and enjoyment across all age groups.
