Classics and Art Pupils Explore Rome During Easter Trip

During the Easter holidays, pupils from Year 10 to Upper Sixth travelled to Rome for a memorable Classics and Art trip, exploring some of the city’s most iconic historical and cultural landmarks.
The group visited the remarkable Colosseum and explored the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, bringing their classroom studies vividly to life. Pupils also admired Trajan's Column and the impressive architecture of the Pantheon.
The itinerary also included visits to the beautiful Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola at Campus Martius, the famous Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona, as well as a walk along the banks of the Tiber River. A highlight of the trip was a visit to the world-renowned Vatican Museums, home to one of the most important art collections in the world.
Alongside exploring the history, art and architecture of Rome, pupils also enjoyed sampling plenty of the city’s famous gelato, making the trip both educational and unforgettable.
