Hundreds of Young Performers Shine as Robin Hood Festival Returns

The Robin Hood Music Festival made a triumphant return this weekend, marking a joyful new chapter after a year’s hiatus and reaffirming its place as one of Yorkshire’s most cherished celebrations of youth talent.

Hosted once again at Hill House School, the festival welcomed hundreds of children and young people who took to the stage to showcase their musical abilities. From confident soloists to powerful ensembles, performers of all ages and experience levels delivered a weekend filled with energy, passion and exceptional talent.

After taking a break in 2025, it was clear just how much the festival had been missed. Families, teachers and supporters gathered in large numbers, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere that has long been a hallmark of the event.

Participants represented a wide range of schools, orchestras and choirs from across the region, continuing the festival’s proud tradition of inclusivity. Classes once again spanned multiple age groups, from Under 9s to Under 19s, and featured performances from beginners through to advanced musicians, all united by a shared love of music and performance.

Hosting the festival at Hill House School was particularly fitting, given the school’s outstanding reputation for music and the performing arts. With excellent facilities and a long-standing commitment to nurturing young talent, the school provided the perfect setting for the festival’s much anticipated comeback.

The return of the Robin Hood Music Festival was more than just a weekend of performances, it was a celebration of community, creativity and resilience.

Congratulations to all of the participants this weekend for hard work and dedication to music!
