Hill House named as Finalist in the Independent School of the Year awards.
Hill House School is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as a Finalist in the Independent School of the Year Awards.
Following an announcement earlier this summer when Hill House was commended in the Category of ‘Contribution to Social Mobility category’, we have now been selected as Finalists, with the winner due to be announced at an awards ceremony in October.
The national recognition celebrates the school's long-standing commitment to ensuring that as many children as possible have access to outstanding educational opportunities.
At the heart of Hill House's ethos is a belief that talent and ambition should not be limited by circumstance. The school is committed to giving pupils the opportunity to benefit from exceptional academic, sporting, musical and creative experiences, while working closely with families to overcome financial barriers which could prevent young people from reaching their full potential.
Headmaster, Mr David Holland, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected as a finalist in the Independent School of the Year Awards for Contribution to Social Mobility.
It is an honour to be recognised alongside some of the country’s other prestigious and long-established schools in a category that reflects the spirit of service and commitment to social responsibility at the heart of independent education. We take great pride in being the only northern Independent Schools in this category.”
