Record Turnout for 24th Annual Doncaster Cross Country Event

Hill House School was proud to host the 24th annual Doncaster and District Cross Country Event on Saturday, welcoming a record number of participants for what proved to be a fantastic day of sport and community spirit.

This year’s event was the largest to date, with a mix of familiar competitors and several new schools taking part for the first time. The increase in individual runners created an exciting and energetic atmosphere, showcasing the growing popularity of Cross Country running across the region.

In a highly competitive field, Scawsby Junior Academy claimed the prestigious Keyworth Shield for the third consecutive year, continuing their impressive run of success. They also secured top positions in both the U11 Boys and U11 Girls categories.

Director of Sport, Katie Vickers, praised the event, highlighting the exceptional turnout and the determination displayed by all participants. She also commended the outstanding sportsmanship shown throughout the races, as well as the enthusiastic support from staff and parents who lined the course.

Hill House School extends its thanks to everyone involved in making the event such a success and looks forward to welcoming schools back next year for a very special milestone, the 25th anniversary of the Doncaster and District Cross Country Event.
