Hill House Pupils Among Top Delegates at International MUN Conference

Hill House pupils enjoyed great success at the Bath International Schools Model United Nations (BISMUN) conference, held at Kingswood School, Bath, from 6 to 8 March.

The three-day conference brought together around 300 pupils from 30 schools, including two visiting schools from Mexico, to take part in a series of simulated United Nations debates. Delegates worked in six committees, discussing a wide range of global issues and developing resolutions through formal debate, negotiation and collaboration.

Hill House pupils represented their allocated countries with confidence, demonstrating excellent research, diplomacy and public speaking skills throughout the conference.

A particular highlight was the outstanding achievement of two Hill House pupils who were named Best Delegate – one of the highest honours awarded at the conference. Only six Best Delegate awards were given across the entire event.

Daisy De Roeck received Best Delegate for representing Bahrain in the Science and Technology Committee.

Pippa Rogerson received Best Delegate for representing Myanmar in the Environment Committee.

This is a remarkable achievement in such a large and competitive international conference, and the Hill House community is incredibly proud of both pupils for their success.
