Hill House Celebrates LAMDA Centre Status as First Exams Begin

Hill House is proud to celebrate becoming a fully registered LAMDA Centre, with our first LAMDA examinations taking place this week.

This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in the school’s performing arts provision, as pupils step forward to showcase their skills with confidence and professionalism.

Becoming an accredited centre allows Hill House to both teach and enter pupils for a wide range of prestigious LAMDA examinations. These internationally recognised qualifications cover areas including Prose & Poetry, Speaking in Public, Acting, Musical Theatre, the Shakespeare Qualification, and the PCERT Diploma. From Grade 6 onwards, pupils can also earn valuable UCAS points, making LAMDA an excellent asset for future academic and career pathways.

At the heart of the programme is the belief that communication, confidence, and self-expression are vital life skills. Through the power of authentic speech, pupils develop not only performance ability but also resilience, clarity, and presence – skills that will benefit them far beyond the stage or examination room.

Hill House is delighted to have Hill House Drama teacher, Mrs Danielle Byrne as our LAMDA teacher. With over 20 years’ experience teaching LAMDA worldwide, and as the current LAMDA Representative for China, Mrs Byrne brings exceptional expertise, insight, and passion to the programme.

This exciting development ensures that Hill House pupils now have direct access to one of the UK’s most highly respected qualifications in speech and drama, reinforcing the school’s ongoing commitment to a broad, enriching, and future-focused education.
