Strong Debut for Scarlett at NSEA Eventer's Challenge

Huge congratulations to Year 9 pupil, Scarlett Ross, who represented the school with distinction at the recent NSEA Eventer's Challenge.
The Eventer's Challenge is a demanding competition combining show jumping and arena cross-country fences, all ridden to an optimum time. Riders must complete a clear round while accurately judging their pace, without the aid of a watch or visible clock, making feel, control and decision-making essential skills.
Scarlett competed in the 80cm class, facing strong competition but finishing an impressive 5th place.
This was Scarlett’s first time competing in this type of event. Riding her horse, 'The Castlefarm Mambo', she showed great skill, determination and competitive spirit throughout her round.
Scarlett represented Hill House in the competition, with support from Grove House Stables, who provide the Hill House Equestrian programme. Scarlett delivered a performance to be proud of. She is now looking forward to competing again for the school in the coming months, aiming to move up into bigger classes and other disciplines, with the ultimate goal of qualifying for the NSEA Championships at Hickstead in May.
Well done, Scarlett, on a fantastic achievement and for being such a positive ambassador for the school.
