Year 5 Enjoy Action-Packed Adventure on the Isle of Man

Year 5 pupils from Hill House recently returned from an unforgettable residential trip to the Isle of Man, accompanied by Mrs Cull, Mr Rowe, Mrs Mason, and Mr and Mrs Smith.

Blessed with glorious sunshine and smooth ferry crossings, the group made the most of every moment on the island. The children enthusiastically took part in a range of exciting outdoor activities, including gorge walking, abseiling, high ropes and archery. One of the most memorable moments came during an evening beach walk, where pupils enjoyed the stunning sunset while collecting shells and unusual stones.

The instructors leading the activities were praised for their engaging approach, combining fun with safety and education. They offered the pupils valuable insights into the natural beauty and heritage of the Isle of Man.

A visit to Lake Moragh provided further highlights, with opportunities to try raft building and canoeing. Pupils were thrilled to spot moon jellyfish in the lake and many enjoyed a refreshing dip in the water—while staff, including Mrs Cull and Mrs Mason, made a lively escape by pedalo!

Throughout the week, the behaviour of the children was exemplary - they were outstanding ambassadors for Hill House School, and the staff were incredibly proud of their conduct.

The trip created a host of lasting memories and was a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
