Hill House Success at National Riding School Championships!

Hill House pupils, Scarlett Ross (Year 6), Luca Markham (Year 8), and Molly Womack (Year 11) had a fantastic time competing in the British Horse Society’s (BHS) National Riding School Championships at Onley Showgrounds, Warwickshire on Wednesday 5 April 2023

The three pupils represented Grove House Stables in the competition, which is unique in offering riders who don’t have their own horse, the chance to compete at a national championship. The children were chosen to compete after successfully qualifying at Grove House earlier in the year. All riders also completed tests in dressage, showjumping and horse knowledge .

While Molly competed in Class 2: 13-17 years, Scarlett and Luca competed in Class 1: 12 years and under in which Scarlett placed 1stbecoming British Horse Society National Riding School Champion! All riders performed to a high standard and demonstrated the skills learnt.

The children had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of competing at a national level. Their success comes after a lot of hard work and great guidance from attending Grove House Stables as part of their extracurricular activities at Hill House

Andrew Stennett, owner of Grove House, said "This was an outstanding result for our riders, and we hope to expand on it to provide opportunities for Hill House Riding club members to experience the amazing bond between horse and rider when taking part in equestrian sport."
